Our Undertaking

We are a small company based in the historic town of Sherborne, Dorset. We undertake all French Polishing and antique restoration work

We believe passionately that our restoration projects are painstakingly carried out with the sole intention of preserving the patina of the pieces.

It takes hundereds of years to acquire this patination, which forms the character of the antique. It is therefore vital that the processes we use conserve and retain the antiquity and value of the items.

We use traditional methods, approaches and hand tools in our work.

Our Values

We use traditional methods and appropriate remedies in all our work. We only use the finest of Shellac polishes, and Tolulene-free wax finishes on all our work

We use the finest traditional hand tools.

Any timber we use is carefully chosen to provide only the very best available. As much as possible we use timber which is reclaimed from antiques that are beyond repair, which ensures quality and aging to suit the items being restored.

We strive to ensure our customers are completely satisfied with all the work we do.
